About Me
I come from a family of educators so education was always emphasized and highly prized. While pursuing my undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee I was a teaching assistant for electromagnetic fields which transformed my abstract respect for education into a concrete passion for tutoring and teaching that I still have many years later.
I completed my degree in Electrical Engineering with a second major in Anthropology. After graduating, I got my teaching certification and moved to New Orleans where I taught high school algebra and chemistry for three years. My students had an over 90% pass rate on the end of year test, despite some students coming into my algebra class with a 4th grade math level.
While in New Orleans I also attended Tulane University and received my MBA. At Tulane, I continued tutoring - working as a teaching assistant once more, this time for a business statistics class.
Critical Quest Tutoring came about from a desire to go back to the moments in teaching I miss most. The name Critical Quest was chosen because I believe that pursuing education is in fact one of the most critical quests we decide to undertake.
If you choose to use my services, I will use all my experience and skillset to help you or your student gain confidence, understand the material, and pass any necessary tests with flying colors. I can’t wait to hear from you!
